Drivers Can Now Pay LA 1 Toll in Cash/Charge Lane

Paying your toll to travel on the new Leeville overpass and elevated LA 1 is now easier than ever before. Beginning today, a new cash/credit/debit one-trip toll payment lane equipped with an Automated Toll Payment Machine (ATPM) is operating at the LA 1 toll gantry in Leeville, allowing drivers traveling south from Leeville to Fourchon to pay their tolls using cash or credit/debit cards from the convenience of their vehicles (see photo of ATPM at left). The ATPMs only require drivers to enter the type of vehicle they are driving based on the number of axles and then pay the required toll, a transaction expected to take only 25 seconds.

For those drivers with pre-paid, multi-trip Geaux Passes, a Geaux Pass-only lane has been designed so that those drivers will be able to proceed without stopping at the toll gantry at all. With the addition of the ATPMs at the elevated highway for one-trip toll payments, payments at kiosks located at retail establishments along the northern end of the LA 1 corridor, as well as one-trip Internet toll payments will be discontinued.
